Tasting Australia 2025
The Client
The 2025 Tasting Australia festival, brought to life by the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC), once again transformed Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga into a vibrant hub of food, wine, and cultural celebration. As a long-standing partner, White Marquee was proud to return as a major sponsor and deliver an extensive suite of custom-built structures and furniture installations across the site. From intimate lounges to large-scale dining galleries, our fit-outs helped set the scene for one of South Australia’s most iconic events.
The Build
This year’s layout saw some exciting new integrations. At the centre of the event, two 10m Soho House structures were joined by a 6m Soho House in between, creating a fully undercover kitchen precinct that was both functional and visually seamless. The Soho Gallery emerged as the main arena, providing an expansive yet intimate space for dining and experiences.
Elsewhere in the Square, the Soho Arch was used to house the Pirate Life – Journey Beyond Lounge, adding an architecturally striking focal point for festivalgoers. Meanwhile, the Soho Dome served as the University of Adelaide Drinks Academy, offering a bold, circular environment for immersive beverage tastings and discussions.
In the central arena, a branded 5x5m White Marquee activation space was also featured, complete with our outdoor decking, Sonora lounges in Desert Sand, a Betty table configuration, and Hoffmann bar bars in Almond – creating a relaxed, welcoming corner for guests to recharge and soak in the atmosphere.
The Fitout
Across the event precinct, White Marquee’s signature furniture collections played a leading role in establishing aesthetic cohesion and practical comfort. From the soft tones of the Sonora range and the timeless silhouettes of Betty tables, to the refined edges of the Hoffmann bar bars, every piece was selected to complement the dynamic environments.
The Soho Gallery dining spaces were elevated by Hygge’s floral styling, which worked harmoniously with our furniture to create immersive culinary spaces. Whether seated at bar height or in lounge configurations, the guest experience was underpinned by comfort, tone, and thoughtful layout.
The Team
A project of this scale is only made possible by a talented team of collaborators. White Marquee partnered once again with Matt from Venue Productions, who delivered atmospheric grey draping throughout the venue. Hygge handled all floral installations with their signature style, while Amuse took charge of audio and visual design. Staffing across the event was managed by the Africola Canteen team.
With SATC at the helm, the 2025 edition of Tasting Australia continued its tradition of showcasing the state’s best – from culinary craftsmanship to design innovation – and White Marquee was thrilled to help bring the vision to life.
